Greg Kesler and Amy Kates have spent over two decades building one of the most respected organization design practices in the world — first at Kates Kesler, then at Accenture. This book is the distillation of that work.

Amy advises business leaders of successful companies around the world to design and activate new operating models and organization strategies. She is an author of six of the leading books in the field of organization with Greg Kesler and Jay Galbraith. The organization design approach and tools she has developed with her colleagues have become the standard design methodology around the world. LinkedIn selected her to produce their organization design video series for their learning platform. In 2020, Accenture acquired the firm she co-founded, Kates Kesler Organization Consulting.
In addition to her consulting work, Amy has taught organization design in the Executive MBA program at the DTU School of Business in Denmark and through Cornell University. She has been an advisory board member for the Organization Design Forum and the Organization Design Community. She lives in New York City.

Greg consults with senior leaders on global organization design and activation, and is recognized as one of the leading practitioners, authors, and speakers in the field. He has led whole company, global redesign projects for many leading multi-national companies across numerous industries over a 35-year period. He co-founded Kates Kesler Organization Consulting with Amy Kates, and after its acquisition by Accenture, Greg led the global organization design practice at the parent company for two years.
He is the co-author of four books on the subject of organization design with Amy Kates and is an adjunct faculty member in the Organization Development Ph.D. program at Sacred Heart University.
Greg divides his time with his family between Connecticut and Wyoming.
